Paper Folding: A0 Paper

This exercise worked pretty much the same as the last one except that we were now working on A0 paper. We worked on such a large scale so that once we had a paper piece made up we could experiment with it on a mannequin and see how paper folding could be interpreted into fashion

My rules:
  • Add a shape
  • Add a cut or fold line to that shape

I really enjoyed working on a large scale because it meant we could create large panels and more intricate folds that would be exciting to see in the end product and how they could work on a mannequin

I'm really pleased with how the folds look as they make the paper appear as though it's been pleated. I also like how the thickness of the paper gives the piece a strong and stable structure.
